Nanos
STORY BEHIND THE PHOTO:
In Slovenian, “Nanos” means two things, depending on how you pronounce it. It can refer to the mountain Nanos (seen in the background of this photo) or it can mean “layering.” This image brings both meanings together. I photographed Nanos rising above the Javorniki range using the ICM (Intentional Camera Movement) technique, which created layers you see here. It’s not just a landscape - it’s a visual expression of the word itself.
